For Presenters
To
Our Presenters:
We
need the following for each session. If you have not
already provided this information, please have the session
organizer provide it as soon as possible.
Audio-Visual
Equipment Request. All workshop rooms have a podium,
flipchart, and markers and are arranged theatre-style
with movable chairs. If you need extra equipment (such
as one or more microphones, a second table or extra
flip charts) please include this in your AV equipment
request. LCD and overhead projectors must be specifically
requested. ACR does not supply computers; you must provide
your own computer if you wish to use power point in
your presentation.
ACR
contracts with an audio-visual company to provide overhead
and LCD projectors only for those presenters who requested
them. The rental of this equipment is very expensive
and ACR orders in advance to keep costs down. Please
submit your AV requests by e-mail to conferences@ACRnet.org
as soon as possible, but no later than September 10,
2007. We may not be able to fill requests made after
that date. If we are unable to accommodate your last-minute
request for AV equipment, renting a projector from the
AV provider at your own expense will be your only option.
Speaker
Release Form. We need a signed Speaker
Release and ACR Principles Form from the organizer
of each session. Please check with other presenters
in your session before signing this document.
Presentation
Handouts. In their registration packets, conference
attendees will receive a compact disc containing presenter
handouts. If you would like your session materials included,
please submit them as soon as possible, but no later
than September 10, 2007. Specifications for materials
are as follows:
Must be submitted no later than September 10, 2007.
In Microsoft Word or PowerPoint handout format.
Page limit of 6 single-sided pages for 90-minute
workshops.
Page limit of 12 single-sided pages for 3-hour
pre-conference session.
Page limit of 24 single-sided pages for 6-hour
pre-conference session.

Note:
ACR cannot reproduce session handouts beyond
those described above.
Presenters may distribute additional materials during
their sessions. The copying and distribution of these
materials is the responsibility of the presenters. There
is a business center in the Hyatt Regency Phoenix and
copying businesses located within two blocks of the
hotel and convention center. ACR does not reimburse
conference workshop presenters for copying or any other
expenses.
To receive the necessary registration materials and
a conference badge, all presenters must complete and
send in a Registration Form. Presenters who do not plan
to attend any sessions or events other than the ones
they are presenting still must register and should check
the box on the Registration
Form that says, "Check here if you plan
to attend as a Presenter only".
Presenters are encouraged to
register for the conference at the discounted
presenter rate of $325.00 for ACR members and $425.00
for non-members. If you are not an ACR member, we invite
you to join ACR now and register for the conference
at the discounted member rate. You may complete the
on-line membership
form prior to registering. You may also apply
for membership at the time you register by downloading
and printing an application
form to complete and submit with your registration.
Presenters wishing to offer books, tapes, videos, etc.
for sale may purchase space in the exhibit area or sign
up for a free hour in the Author's Corner. (E-mail to
conferences@acrnet.org
to reserve a time in the Author's Corner). Presenters
may not sell anything in the conference facilities during
workshop or plenary sessions.
