Working for collaborative change in your own community: Learning from a Charlottesville experience with Frank Dukes

This webinar will look at efforts initiated in Charlottesville both before the deadly Aug. 11-12 Unite the Right violence and after. We will explore the pitfalls and benefits of this work while encouraging others with conflict skills to become active in their own communities.  Frank Dukes, a distinguished ACR member, is a long-time mediator and facilitator working out of the Institute for Environmental Negotiation, University of Virginia. His experience in transcending boundaries of neutrality for human rights issues, particularly those involving race, has led to opportunities to support and lead local collaborative change efforts. Frank is the 2012 recipient of ACR’s Sharon M. Pickett award.

Cheryl Jamison, ACR Executive Director will be a resource to the webinar through her questions and commentary. Cheryl has extensive experience in examining and understanding issues of race and diversity and is known for her training and advocacy.

This webinar is complimentary and registration is required.  Please click this link to register. Once you have registered you will receive the link for the webinar.
