Academy of Advanced Practitioners (AAP) Designation
Share |
The Academy of Advanced Practitioners (AAP) was designed to create a membership status for those members of the organization who desire to have more professional recognition for their advanced training and experience. Previously ACR offered Advanced Practitioner status for only Workplace section mediators, Workplace section arbitrators, and Family section mediators. AAP now makes it possible for practitioners of other processes such as facilitation, conflict system design, dialogue and deliberation, coaches as well as others to have AP designation. In addition, mediators other than Family and Workplace mediators may have AAP membership status.

Each applicant, with the assistance of a guide defines the area or areas in which they are applying and documents the training and experience in each area. When the applicant and the guide determine that the application is complete, it is submitted to anonymous readers who review it for credibility and substance.

Once AAP status is granted, the member receives the benefits of an Advanced Practitioner of ACR including a specialized listing on the web site. This listing makes the names and contact information of APs more available to potential clients and other professionals seeking services.

The application has a minimal non-refundable application fee.
The Dues Rate is $230 annually.
